Performance:
The Tech 10 is as functional as a tec BC as it is a recreational rig. It provides a ton of lift and ditchable ballast capacity in both front and rear pouches. Emergency ditching the front pouches is done via the ripcord system — simply pull on the handle, and both pouches open and drop your weights. The rear pouches ditch by pulling down on Velcro-secured molded handles. Rather than a cummerbund, the Tech 10 uses extra-wide waist panels that close with a pair of webbed straps and double-pull squeeze buckles. Combined with a split-saddle-style crotch strap and two-position adjustable sternum strap, the Tech 10 hugs the body like a glove. Test divers found the BC secure and stable in all diving positions, and the thick backpad provided a lot of comfort. Cargo pockets are located over the weight pouches; they are easy to access but small in size.
